Dargin’s Creole Kitchen is a family owned and operated catering service and aspiring fast casual dining restaurant in Georgia.  Led by Chef Chris Dargin, we specialize in providing authentic Louisiana Creole cuisine. We bring you affordable, homemade quality dishes full of flavor with a touch of southern soul.

Our mission is to bring quality, authentic Creole cuisine to our customers at an affordable price while providing the ultimate customer experience. We offer a wide range of flavorful Creole specialties from traditional shrimp Creole and crawfish etouffee to custom chef-inspired dishes providing more than just a taste.  Dargin’s Creole Kitchen is simply Louisiana!

Chef Dargin

Chef Dargin was born and raised in Southwest Louisiana and is deeply rooted in its Creole culture. As a professionally trained chef, he has enhanced his culinary experience, technique and passion for the food he grew up on. It is his goal to explore all that Creole cuisine has to offer and share it with an emerging and diversified culinary palate.

What is Creole vs. Cajun Cuisine?

Creole is a diverse culture celebrated in Louisiana’s communities and kitchens.  Some of the most flavorful dishes are created in its small kitchens.  Its unique sophistication may consist of a mixture of French, Spanish, African and Native American spices and flavors.  Creole is a cooking style that some classify as city cooking, it is tomato based and often smothered in a smooth buttery roux with refined flavors.  

 

Cajun is country cooking, coarse, roughly chopped and combined in an oil based roux with spicy flavors.  While we specialize in creating authentic Creole cuisine like Shrimp Creole, we also offer one of Louisiana’s best kept secrets - Boudin, a famous Cajun delicacy renowned in the rural bayous of Louisiana.  Outside of these two unique cooking styles, Chef Dargin’s ability to cater to any gathering, private event or wedding will prove rewarding.
